What are my year 2026 plans?

Will my plan for the year 2026 be a rehash of my plan for the year 2025?

If you’ve been reading my blog long enough, you’re not wrong to believe that my plan for the year 2026 may not be that much different from my plan for the year 2025.

After all, it’s always my tendency to be ambitious with my goals, only to realize that I overestimate how long it will take me to achieve them.

Thus, you’ll see me rehashing the same goals over and over again every year.

Well, here’s the good news for you – my plans for the year 2026 will be a different one.

Why is it, you ask?

It’s because I managed to achieve most of my goals for 2025, of course!

My year 2025 in a nutshell

While 2025 happens to be a terrible year for me, it’s amazing that I still managed to achieve most of my goals for the year.

And it’s even more so when they’re the goals that I’ve been trying to achieve for so long.

These are some of them that I managed to achieve in 2025.

Re-release the brand new edition of the Trigger Locked series

For the longest time, I’ve always wanted to publish the new edition of the Trigger Locked series to commemorate the digital bundle edition.

What I thought would only take months to complete from start to finish ended up taking me a year or two instead.

Well, it wouldn’t take that long if the only thing I had to do was to correct any grammar mistakes.

But lo and behold, I can’t help but be ambitious with how I want the new version to be.

Rather than correcting a few grammar mistakes here and there and slaps a new book cover, I decided to rewrite the books instead.

Yes, it was rather an ambitious project, considering that I have to rewrite all books in the series, including the prequel.

But despite the massive undertaking, I’m actually glad that I did it.

The books are now available for pre-order on Amazon and other retailers, in case you’re wondering.

Publish the digital bundle edition of the Trigger Locked series

Box set, omnibus, digital bundle, whatever you want to call it.

What matters the most is that it’s finally here after working on it for so long.

Unlike the individual books, the digital bundle edition will only be available on Kobo in April 2026.

But you can get it instantly on my online store, though, if you prefer to get the book now.

Have my books available for sale on Google Play Books and accessible through the library system

To be honest, I never thought I would face a stumbling block when I tried to list my books on Google Play Books.

For whatever reason, Google somehow refused to approve my account.

Until I can get the issue resolved, you won’t be seeing my books on Google Play Books, at last for now.

While you may have to wait for the Google Play Books issue to settle, you can now get my books through the library system.

The only caveat?

You will have to wait until the books come out, just like my books on the retailers’ websites.

Migrate my existing online store to a different platform

This is another thing that I’ve always wanted to do for the longest time.

So, I’m glad that I finally get to do it this year.

The unfortunate part is that I have yet to finish the setup of my brand new online store as of writing.

But you can expect the store to go live in January at the earliest.

I had to scrap this plan

In my year 2025 plans post, I did mention that I also want to release the hardback and the large print edition of my books.

Well, that was my initial plan, considering that offering another format shouldn’t take that long to do.

But somehow, I ended up scrapping the plan altogether due to the cost and time constraint.

Does it mean the hardback and the large print edition of the books are no longer in the card?

Of course, the answer is no.

If anything, the hardback edition one will be something like the exclusive hardback that comes with dust jacket and colored illustration pages, similar to Final fantasy XV: The Dawn of the Future print book.

That’s my plan for the hardback edition.

As for the large print edition, I don’t have any plan to publish my books in large print, unless somebody requested them.

I may consider it if there’s a demand for it.

My year 2026 plans

Now that the majority of the stuff is already out of my way, these are the things that I plan to do for this year.

Publish the fourth book of the Trigger Locked series, The Modern Pied Piper

Yes, I know it’s already long overdue, considering that the third book of the series came out five years ago.

With the last book being published five years ago, then it makes sense for to publish the next book as quick as I can, right?

Even if I didn’t manage to get it published this year, I’m aiming to get the book written within this year at the very least.

Once I can get the writing and editing done, the rest of the process will be a breeze

So, expect the hear good news for me in the meantime.

Do finishing touches on my brand new online store on this brand new platform

Well, I did say that my brand new online store will be up and running in January.

But that’s just the bare minimum.

If I’m serious about selling my books on my own storefront, then I need to offer print books as well.

Selling ebooks alone aren’t enough. And if that’s the only thing I want to sell on my storefront, then I should just stick to my original platform.

There’s no reason for me to switch to a different platform when my current platform is already good enough.

Since they’re simple tasks, I’m planning to tackle them all in the early 2026 before I begin writing The Modern Pied Piper.

Publish the new edition of The Diary of Modern Cinderella

Yes, I know. I’m tackling another new edition book project.

And this time around, it will be the first book that I ever published, The Diary of Modern Cinderella.

Why The Diary of Modern Cinderella, you ask?

Well, the book is the closest to the Trigger Locked series, vibe-wise.

It’s a lot easier to work on a book that is similar to the Trigger Locked series, unlike Twisted Destiny where it’s in a different genre altogether.

Keep in mind that I will only begin to tackle the book once I’m done with publishing The Modern Pied Piper, though.

So, you can say that the book is on the back burner for now despite the book being one of my goals for 2026.

It will be a great year, for sure

To be honest, I can’t say for sure what makes 2026 to be a great year for me.

Is it because my goals for 2026 are a lot less than my goals for the previous years, so I’m more likely to achieve all of them this year?

Well, that could be it.

If anything, I should say it has more to do with 2026 seems to be filled with a good vibe.

Start with a good vibe and it will follow you for the rest of the year.

That’s what I always believe in, and you should, too, regardless of what you think of the year 2026.

Let’s hope that 2026 will be an amazing year for all of us.
