Manga review blog
It’s not surprising that many people think that my blog is a manga review blog when they see it at a first glance. Well, many of my posts on my blog are about manga and light novels. Regardless of how I label the post, deep down it’s still a manga or light novel review, right? I’m sure that you already know where I’m going with this. My blog is NOT a manga review blog. Sure, I did specify who should be reading the manga and light novels. But for the most part, it’s more about my experience with reading the book such as what got me to pick the book and what I didn’t expect when I read it. No matter how you look at it, that doesn’t sound like a manga review blog to me.

If it’s not a manga review blog, then what is actually my blog?

Well, I’d like to think of my blog as a curated manga and light novel recommendation blog. Yes, I know that’s pretty ambitious. But that’s how I see my blog. Since it’s a manga and light novel recommendation blog, it means that the blog will be mostly about the manga and light novels that I find interesting. I’m sure you already know how hard it is to find interesting manga and light novels to read. With so many new releases, it can be somewhat paralyzing just to weed out which books are worth paying attention to. And let’s not forget that some of the interesting titles tend to fall under the radar. That makes it even harder for you to discover your next interesting read. Kudos to you if you have someone who can recommend you what manga and light novels you should be reading. But for many of us, we have to discover those interesting manga and light novels ourselves. That’s the aim of my blog, which is to introduce interesting manga and light novels that everyone should read. I know how hard it is to find interesting manga and light novels to read. So, I hope that my blog can help you with making the manga and light novel discoverabilities a lot easier for you. It’s because of this reason that my blog is never a manga review blog. The only thing I do here is to recommend manga and light novels you should read. And I don’t mind about the tiny bits of flaws in the story and the characters as long as it doesn’t hinder me from enjoying the story and the characters.

That also applies to nonfiction books too

Just to let you know that my blog isn’t just about recommending manga and light novels to read. But I also recommend interesting nonfiction books to read too. While some of the books that I recommend tend to be the books that I use as a part of the research for my writing, there are also some books that I recommend simply because I find them interesting. A River of Darkness is one of them. So, my criterion for recommending the nonfiction books on my blog is still the same as manga and light novels. I will only recommend interesting nonfiction books that I think you’ll enjoy. And the subject can be pretty much anything. I’m not going to lie that these nonfiction books sure do feeding my muse.

Do we like the same thing?

I admit that what I find interesting and not interesting can be very subjective. So, I decided to leave this topic for another day. But if you take a look at all of the manga and light novels that I feature on my blog so far, I’m sure that you’ll have a clear idea of the kind of books I enjoy reading. As for the nonfiction books, it can feel somewhat random. But if you’re like me, you probably love the idea of discovering any books as long as they’re interesting.

Will I change the direction of this blog?

To be honest, it’s hard to say whether the blog will remain the same or not down the road. Heck, I could stop recommending books to you at any given moment. But for now, I kind of like the direction where this blog is heading. The reason for that is because I’m doing something that is feeding my soul. Yes, I admit that I will probably have to read tons of manga, light novels and nonfiction books out there just to bring you any interesting books that I can get my hands on. But I’m doing this because I love reading. And I also happen to love talking and recommending interesting books to read to people.
