I’m a little giddy as I’m gearing up for the Anime Deals: October 2026 Edition post.

After a long time, I’m finally back in creative mode.

With so many things planned, you can bet that moving forward will be a busy month for me.

And yes, that includes my long-awaited fourth book of the Trigger Locked series, The Modern Pied Piper.

As of now, I’m creating an outline for the book.

But I’m not even sure when I will begin to write the first draft.

It doesn’t matter when I’ll start writing the first draft; all I can say is that I’m so glad to be back in creative mode.

Even if I’m busy with my own creative projects, it doesn’t mean that I’m neglecting scouring amazing anime and video game deals for you.

If you’re looking for something unique, then you certainly don’t want to miss this month’s Anime Deals: October 2026 Edition post.

I admit that I’m not much of a Nintendo fan.

And I still do, despite the amazing lineup for Switch.

Well, there’s no reason for me to get a Switch when pretty much most of the games are mainly for PS5.

While I’m not into the Nintendo games that much, Zelda is somehow the only game that piques my interest.

Sad to say, I only know The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo 64.

Other than that, I’m pretty clueless about the game.

But for those who have been a huge fan of Zelda for a long time, you certainly don’t want to miss all those limited releases to commemorate Zelda’s 40th anniversary.

From the amiibo figures to game accessories, there are so many things lining up to celebrate the occasion.

And what’s the best way to commemorate the game’s anniversary other than the iconic ocarina?

Just to be clear, this ocarina that you see here isn’t the ordinary ocarina.

When I say it’s not an ordinary ocarina, I don’t mean it contains magic of some sort.

It’s actually an electronic ocarina, where you press the buttons on the ocarina like you would with a gamepad instead of blowing into it.

You can play your own melody if you’d like.

Or you can play the 12 built-in songs from the game through its Auto Play Mode.

Of course, that’s not the only thing you can get from the Zelda’s 40th anniversary lineup.

You can have a look at them right here for more items:

Tired of getting yourself a drab, generic-looking calendar and want something different for your space, preferably your favorite anime?

Good news for you now that the 2027 calendar is available for pre-order at CDJapan.

Wondering which anime calendars are up for grabs?

You can have a look at them right here at CDJapan:

Just to let you know, you can’t combine your other items when you pre-order the calendar due to its large dimensions.

That means you will have to order the calendar separately if you plan to order other items from CDJapan.

Lindsay Does Languages

Many of us seem to think that the best way to learn a language to fluency is to enroll in a language class.

And if you can enroll in a language class at a language institute, all’s the better.

Well, you’re not wrong to think that way, considering that the formal language class tends to cover everything, from writing, speaking, listening, and reading.

And you don’t have to think about the curriculum either, since it covers everything you need to know about the language you’re learning.

Do your due diligence, and eventually, you’ll be as fluent as a native.

Does it mean you have no chance of being fluent in your target language if you choose to study the language on your own?

Of course, the answer is no.

You can still learn the language like you would in a classroom environment with the right technique.

And to do that, you need to learn how to learn a language.

Just to be clear, you don’t need to get a degree in applied linguistics to know how you can learn a language the right way.

Lindsay Does Languages’ Successful Self-Study course will help you to do just that.

The course itself covers everything you need to know about learning a language outside of the classroom environment.

From learning how to learn grammar and vocabulary effectively to developing reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills.

The course has you covered.

And if you need help with immersion without having to move to another country, the course covers that part as well.

If you find that the missing link to your language learning struggle is not knowing how to learn the language the proper way, you can get the course right here:

You love reading light novels.

But as much as you enjoy reading light novels, the light novels that you see these days seem to lack variety.

They’re either fantasy or isekai light novels, with some romance light novels in between.

While many of them are a good read, it can feel bland when you’re seeing the same thing being rehashed over and over again.

Even a little twist isn’t going to fix the issue.

If you’re looking for something different genre-wise, consider giving my thriller light novel series, Trigger Locked, a try.

Wondering what sort of light novel that is, you ask?

You can have a look at the first book in the series right here on my online store:
