Anime Deals July 2025 Blog Banner

Okay, I’ll try to make the Anime Deals: July 2025 Edition post a little different than usual this time.

Instead of saying how time flies so quickly, I’d like to touch upon something that I notice, and this post seems to be the right place to do that.

I won’t discuss it in the introduction, as it’s more specific than a broader topic.

So, I’ll get to it in a moment.

Will the topic ever get a dedicated blog post?

If I have a lot more to say about this topic, then there’s a big chance it will have its own blog post someday.

On the flip side, remember when I talked about my reading challenge in last month’s Anime Deals post?

It took me a while, but I finally started reading consistently again.

Just to be clear that I’m still struggling from time to time, especially on Sunday, since it’s the day that has the biggest update on MANGA Plus.

But other than that, I’m doing well so far.

Whether I can complete the challenge or not has yet to be seen.

But I’ll do my best to meet the goal even if I have to do it on the last day of the challenge.

In the meantime, let’s have a look at what’s in store for you in this month’s Anime Deals: July 2025 Edition post.

SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered Blog Banner

Over the last year or so, I’ve seen so many old games getting remastered or remade treatment, with Persona 4 being the latest one.

While letting these games get a remastered treatment is a good thing for those who are new to the series, it also makes me wonder about the current state of video games in general.

Rather than having the studios create a new IP, they decided to capitalize on their older games instead.

Sure, some fans would want to play the old games on the modern console.

And they’re here to fulfill the demand.

But it can also mean they find the new games aren’t even worth playing, even with all the fanfare.

Of course, it doesn’t help that many game companies aren’t willing to risk making a new IP, thinking that the game will flop.

I find it funny that it took me seeing SaGa Frontier Remastered on Playasia that made me realize what we’re getting into.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to see old games making their way to the modern console.

But I don’t see anything wrong with creating a new IP either.

No matter how terrible the game performs sales-wise, there will always be people who enjoy the game.

And that seems to be the case with SaGa Frontier, where it has a dedicated fanbase despite not being a mainstream title.

If you enjoy playing SaGa Frontier in the past and would like to play the game on a modern console, you can get the physical copy of the remastered edition on Playasia:
