Anime Deals April 2026 Blog Banner

There’s something I’d like to mention briefly in this month’s Anime Deals: April 2026 Edition post.

If you’re on Goodreads, then I’m sure that you’re already familiar with the announcement that you can now mark the book as ‘Did not finish’.

What’s amazing about this feature is that it can still count towards your reading challenge even if you don’t finish the book.

The only way it counts is if you include the date you start reading the book.

Books without dates won’t count toward the reading challenge.

To be honest, I’m not sure if this sort of feature is necessary at first.

But when I think about some of the books I’ve read last year, my only reason to finish them was for the challenge’s sake.

Do I really love the book to the point that I was so committed to finishing reading it?

For some books, the answer was an absolute yes.

But the rest of the books somehow make me feel like I’m trying to pull my teeth out.

Just a heads-up that I may talk about it more on my blog, that is, if I ever do, though.

In the meantime, let’s have a look at what’s in store for you in this month’s Anime Deals: April 2026 Edition post.

Playasia

Maybe it’s not much of an issue if you buy things locally.

But if you want to buy things from websites that are outside of your own country, then you will have to pay for your purchase in foreign currencies.

Not only that, but the payment method is limited, too.

It’s either you have to pay using a credit or debit card or PayPal.

Sure, you can use Apple Pay or Google Pay, but the unfortunate part is that not all websites offer those payment options.

Well, guess what?

Playasia is by far the only website that I have come across that offers all sorts of payment options you can think of.

What’s even better is that you can pay for your order using payment options that are available in your own country.

Like in my case, I can now pay for whatever I buy at Playasia using FPX, Boost, Grab Pay, and Touch n Go eWallet in addition to the usual credit or debit card and PayPal.

Besides the usual payment options, they also accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, to name a few, if that’s how you prefer to pay for your purchases.

Thinking about buying the games, merchandise, and perhaps the figures that you’ve been eyeing for so long at Playasia?

You can now get them and pay in whichever payment option you prefer right here at Playasia:

Lindsay Does Languages

You probably think that taking a formal language class and getting a language subscription like JapanesePod101.com is the key to your language fluency.

If you want to learn the language properly, it’s the best way to go about it.

Well, you’re not wrong about that.

But the truth is, you don’t necessarily need to sign up for a formal language class.

You can pretty much use whatever learning resources are available to you, as long as you know how to learn the language properly.

The good news is you don’t have to figure out how to learn the language on your own.

That’s where the Lindsay Does Languages’ Self-Study Online Course comes in.

With this course, you will not only know how to organize your study time, document your learning, maintain your routine, and stay motivated to keep going.

But you also learn how you can get better at reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

If there’s one thing that can indicate you’re making real progress in your language learning, it’s certainly your ability to read, listen, speak, and write in that language.

Does having the right resources help?

Of course, they do.

But having the best resources in the world won’t help you at all if you don’t know how to make full use of them, even the right ones.

Think this is what’s missing from your language learning process?

You can learn more about the course right here:

My online store

You love reading light novels, even the original English light novels (OELN).

But the light novels that are available in English seem to be the isekai stuff, with only a handful of them being in the fantasy genre.

That will be great if reading anything in the fantasy genre is your thing and you dig the isekai stuff.

But if you don’t, it can feel tiring to read pretty much the same stuff, no matter how good they are.

If you’re looking for an OELN in the sci-fi thriller genre, then you may want to give my Trigger Locked series a try.

Wondering what kind of story that is?

You can take a look at the first book in the series right here on my online store. Use the coupon code SEKINAMAYUBLOG to get 30% off on your purchase:

The Mind Control Assassins: Trigger Locked Book One

And if you’re in the mood to binge-read, you can get the bundle edition on my online store as well. Just so you know, you can use the same coupon code to get 30% off on the book bundle:
