Spring 2025 Anime Blog Banner

Whoa, what is happening with my spring 2025 anime must-watch list?

How come it’s a lot shorter than usual?

It’s not unusual to see a sparse anime must-watch list in 2020 when we barely have any anime to watch.

But it’s rare to see how few anime I watch when we have tons of new anime this season.

What is it that causes me to watch so few anime this spring?

Is the spring 2025 anime lineup that bad, to the point where there are barely interesting anime to watch?

To be honest, I won’t go as far as saying this season’s lineup is a total dud.

A few popular ones are coming out this season, mind you.

It’s just that most of them aren’t that exciting to me.

As a result, I ended up watching less anime this season.

It feels freeing, too, now that I have less anime to catch up.

That doesn’t seem like a bad trade-off after all, if you ask me.

The spring 2025 anime I’m enjoying watching at the moment

If you know my beat, then you may already know I’m someone who can find the joy in watching anime with a dead serious story.

It can be an anime like Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai, where the anime barely has any funny moments, but enough to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Or it can be the anime that has a nice balance of humor and seriousness, like Kanata no Astra and Dr. Stone.

But believe it or not, I also enjoy watching something light and even a comedy anime from time to time.

The only anime I tend to steer clear of is the gag anime, since I may have been way too dumb to get the joke.

Or the joke can be way too over the top, it won’t make sense at all.

But other than that, I don’t see anything wrong with watching light anime once in a while.

And that seems to be the kind of anime I’m watching this season.

If you’re looking for a light anime to watch, these are the anime that are worth considering adding to your list.

You can also take a look at this list here for a complete anime lineup for this season.

Okay, I won’t deny that the anime starts with the characters getting caught in a dire situation, which can be rather intense to some.

So, it doesn’t seem so light-hearted at all, judging from how the story begins.

Like any other anime that revolves around a serious theme, they do have funny moments in between, of course.

So, it’s not all about the non-stop fight-fight-fight kind of situation.

Even with that, I still don’t recommend you jump straight into the third season right away without watching the anime from the beginning.

As someone who has been watching from the first season, I have a hard time remembering what the story in the previous season was all about.

So, folks, take it away from me, who tried to make sense of the story despite already watching from the beginning.

If watching the anime from the beginning is not your thing, consider reading the manga instead, which you can get right here on Amazon:

The thing about the story that revolves around the two sisters is that they don’t seem to have a good relationship with one another.

And it’s even more so when their parents tend to favor one sister over the other.

But not in this anime, though, where the two sisters in question, Philia and Mia, are close.

Not only does Mia respect Philia as an older sister, but she also always looks up to her.

While Mia thinks highly of her sister as an amazing saint, not so much for their parents, and the second prince, who happens to be Philia’s fiancé.

They even go as far as being in cohort with the second prince to break off his engagement with Philia and sell her to another kingdom.

On top of that, they even disown her, causing Philia to move to another kingdom without having the chance to say goodbye to Mia.

Now, you must be wondering what’s so light-hearted about this story when the situation Philia faces is rather grim.

Yes, it may seem grim at first.

But it doesn’t feel that grim anymore once Philia finally settles in a new environment.

That’s when we get to see the positive changes in Philia thanks to the new environment she’s in.

Of course, there will still be a looming threat that awaits Philia, and how much it impacts her has yet to be seen.

But other than that, the story is brimming with positive vibes for the most part.

It’s no wonder how much I look forward to watching this anime every single week.

Depending on how the anime ends, I may consider getting the manga or light novel since they’re rather short.

And if you’re thinking about doing the same, you can get the manga and light novel right here on Amazon:

Witch Watch

Witch Watch

A witch-in-training is living together with her ogre familiar.

What could have gone wrong, right?

Sad to say, there’s never a dull moment when you have a witch within your vicinity, even if she’s only a witch-in-training.

It’s either that there will be blunders because of Nico’s magic, or it can be something else that no one will foresee.

Despite its comical premise, you’d better believe something sinister is brewing in the background, waiting for the right moment to rear its ugly head.

So, don’t think this anime is only fun and a game just because it’s a comedy anime.

To be honest, I already knew what to expect from the anime, considering that I’ve already read the manga before.

But I’ve never imagined seeing the same scenes in the manga turn out to be even funnier in the anime.

What it is that makes the same scene a lot funnier in the anime is something that I’m not sure of.

But one thing I know for sure is that it has nothing to do with Nico’s magic.

Just so you know, I did recommend the Witch Watch on my blog before. You can read my thoughts about the manga here if you’re interested.
