Anime Deals August 2026 Blog Banner

A lot of things are going on inside my mind as I’m writing the Anime Deals: August 2026 Edition post.

For one, this one Marie Forleo podcast episode that got me to question my book writing approach.

Funnily enough, it’s not the whole episode that causes me to challenge my assumption about writing the first draft.

It was this one sentence that made me pause for a moment and feel like this approach is doable, even with all the things that I need to do that are equally important.

And then, there’s this one thing that I never thought I would come back to again after abandoning it for three years, to be exact.

But unlike the last time, I’m coming back with a much better strategy.

And I’m being selective with what I need to do, too, so that it won’t lead me to abandon that thing again for the umpteenth time.

I won’t bore you with details of what they are.

Suffice it to say, they’re crucial to my goals for this year and beyond.

Putting that aside, let’s have a look at what’s in store for you in this month’s Anime Deals: August 2026 Edition post.

Playasia

When you think of Playasia, you probably think of all those Asian versions of the games that you can only get there.

But guess what?

That’s not the only thing notable about them.

If you’re looking for the digital top-up, be it the PSN card for every region you can think of or something lesser-known such as the Binance gift card, you can bet that Playasia has them.

While Playasia tends to charge a little more for things like the Binance gift card, you can actually get all those game top-ups at a slightly lower price, though.

Say you want to buy a $100 PSN card for the US PS Store.

Believe it or not, you only have to pay a little less for the $100 PSN card.

And it’s not just for the PSN Card, mind you.

The same goes for the Nintendo eShop card and the Xbox gift card.

If you’re thinking about buying games from stores that are not in your region, these game cards sure come in handy for you.

And the best part of all?

You’ll receive the code right after completing your purchase.

Want to get your hands on these game top-ups for a lot less than other places that offer the same thing?

You can get the game card of your choice in whichever region and amount you prefer right here at Playasia:

Lindsay Does Languages

You probably don’t think much about language-learning planning if you attend the language school.

Well, there’s no reason for you to think about it when the school does the lesson planning for you.

But if you’re learning a language on your own, whether you’re using something like JapanesePod101.com or a language textbook, then you must plan for your language learning.

Yes, I can hear you from afar that you’re not a planner person.

And even if you want to, you just don’t know where to begin.

If you have a hard time with organizing your language learning, then you may want to have a look at Lindsay Does Languages’ The Solo Language Learner Planner.

What I love about this planner is that not only does it come with calendars and trackers to make it easy for you to plan and keep track of progress.

But it also comes with a dedicated section for reviewing vocabulary, grammar, verbs, and any content you consume as a part of your language learning.

What’s more, it has a wide variety of calendars, trackers, and review sections.

You can just pick whichever calendar, tracker, and review section fits your language learning process.

And if you already bought Lindsay Does Languages’ Watch & Learn course?

Those review sections in the planner will certainly come in handy for you to jot down whatever vocabulary and scripts that you come across.

Think this is what you need to make your language learning more organized?

My online store

As much as I love playing video games and watching anime, nothing beats unwinding with a good read.

If you don’t have anything interesting to read at the moment and you enjoy reading original English light novels, consider giving my thriller novel series, Trigger Locked, a try.

Wondering what kind of story the Trigger Locked series is?

You can have a look at the first book in the series right here on my online store, Sekina Mayu Direct:

While it’s important for you to plan for your language learning, it’s also important that you use a proper language resource.

In the case of learning Japanese, the resource doesn’t just cover the usual grammar and vocabulary and structures the lesson based on the level of difficulty.

But it also needs to cover the Japanese writing part, which some learn Japanese books don’t even cover.

These books are perfect for those who are traveling to Japan and want to learn basic Japanese conversation.

But if your goal is to be fluent in Japanese, then those books simply won’t cut it.

The good news is that JapanesePod101.com covers everything you need to know about learning Japanese.

And the best part is that they’re running a special promotion where you can get 45% off their Basic, Premium, and Premium PLUS subscriptions.

That’s as low as $3.20 per month!

Do you need someone to come up with a customized lesson plan for you?

Then the Premium PLUS subscription will do just that since it’s the plan that gives you 1-on-1 access to your own teacher.

This offer won’t be available for long since it will only be available until August 14, 2026.

Think this is what you need to get started with learning Japanese properly?
