Spring 2023 Anime Blog Banner

To be honest, I was thinking about posting my spring 2023 anime must-watch list a little later than usual.

Yes, I admit that it’s already too late for me to post my spring 2023 anime must-watch list by now when other people already shared their list weeks ago.

But with quite a few anime that starts a lot later than the rest, I thought that it’ll be better for me to put posting my anime must-watch list on hold instead.

Alas, I ended up scraping the thought anyway.

One of the reasons is that I’m already comfortable with the number of anime I’m watching right now.

Another reason is that I simply don’t have the time to watch a lot of anime like I used to anymore.

So, what happened to the anime that will be coming out later? Will I consider watching it and updating my must-watch list to include the new anime then?

Sad to say, I won’t be doing that.

As I said before, I’m already comfortable with the number of anime that I’m currently watching right now.

There’s no reason for me to add more anime to the list when I already have a hard time keeping up with the latest episodes.

The spring 2023 anime that I’m watching

As you can see here, many of the anime that I’m currently watching this season are mainly the continuation of the previous seasons.

Of course, I still watch new anime like I always do.

But a handful of them are the ones where I already read the manga before.

While I always use the opportunity to discover new manga and light novels to read based on the anime that I watch during the season, I won’t be adding anything new to the list this time around.

Sure, I may change my mind about it after the anime ends. But for now, I have no plan to add anything new to the list.

With that said, here are the spring 2023 anime that I’m currently watching right now. You can also take a look at the list right here for a list of anime that comes out this season.

Dr. Stone S3

Dr. Stone S3

This is an obvious choice considering how much I enjoy watching Dr. Stone anime to the point where I bought the manga in print.

If you’re someone who prefers to watch an anime that allows you to learn something new in the process, then you may want to give Dr. Stone anime a try.

Of course, you need to watch the anime from the beginning to understand the story better.

And you need to watch the Ryuusui episode too since the story in the third season continues from there.

This anime is undoubtedly one of the anime I’m looking forward to watching the most every week.

Prefer to read the manga instead? You can read more about it right here.

Jigokuraku

Jigokuraku

Yes, I watch the anime because I already read the manga before.

Will I still be watching the anime if I don’t even read the manga?

Well, yes since I do find the story fascinating.

The premise where the convicts will get a pardon from the government if they obtain the elixir of life only to find out that the things they’re about to experience are a lot more than what they’re bargaining for.

Just to be clear that this anime can be a little tad too violent for some.

But if violence isn’t much of an issue to you and you enjoy watching fantasy anime that takes place in a historical setting, then this anime is for you.

You can also take a look at this blog post if you’re curious about the manga.

Kimetsu no Yaiba – Katakanakaji no Sato-hen

Kimetsu no Yaiba Katakanakaji no Sato-hen

Well, how can I not watch the anime when I’ve already watched the movie and the previous season?

If you’re into action-packed anime that takes place in a historical setting, then this anime is a must-watch.

Even if you don’t find anything unique about the anime story-wise, it’s still worth your time watching it because of how beautiful the animation is.

Out of many anime that I’ve watched, this anime is by far the most beautiful animation I’ve ever seen.

Ask anyone who has watched the anime before and they will tell you the same thing.

Thinking about giving the manga a try? You can get the manga right here on Amazon:

Mahoutsukai no Yome S2

Mahoutsukai no Yome S2

Sad to say, I can’t seem to recall what happened in the previous season. But the good news is the story in the second season doesn’t seem to tie much with what happened in the first season.

Does it mean you can just jump straight to the second season without having to watch the first season at all?

Well, I don’t recommend you to do that. It’s still best for you to watch the anime from the beginning if you want to understand the story better.

Prefer to catch up with the story through manga instead?

My Home Hero

My Home Hero

The story of a father who is willing to do anything to save his daughter from her abusive boyfriend.

And the worst part of all?

He even tried to extort the inheritance money from her!

It’s no wonder that a dirtbag like him ended up dead in the hands of the girlfriend’s father.

If you think that the girl’s father must be used to getting involved in something shady in the past, you’ll be surprised to find out that it’s nothing like that at all.

He’s just your typical salaryman who happens to be a huge fan of mystery novels.

Even his wife also wonders if he ever killed someone before since he seems to know what to do to dispose of the dead body.

As you can expect, their life as a family is taking the worst turn when the man that he killed turns out to be someone who is a gang member.

And the gang itself is out for blood if anything does happen to this guy.

That doesn’t leave the father no choice but to do what he can to keep this guy’s death a secret.

Strangely enough, I can’t seem to find the manga on Amazon. But the good news is you can buy the manga on Bookwalker instead.

You can get the manga right here on Bookwalker:

Oshi no Ko

Oshi no Ko

When you think of an anime that revolved around idols, you may have this idea that the story must be something similar to Kami Kuzu Idol.

Well, guess what? That’s not the case at all with Oshi no Ko.

Instead of seeing the glitzy life of being an idol, what you see is the dark side of being in the entertainment industry.

Of course, there will still be some funny moments in between.

But the story tends to be dark for the most part.

If you’re looking for an idol anime that has a slightly different twist to what you usually see in idol anime, then this anime is for you.

And if you’re curious about the manga, you can read about it right here.
